Join us for our final DMLab event of the year!
DMLab Online is a digital interpretation of our usual DMLab get-togethers. It’s a space to talk music tech and accessibility, to hear music by Disabled artists and to be part of our community.
10th December – Zoom – 6pm – 7.30pm
A session to explore music and accessible technology with Disabled musicians and technologists.
We will have presentations from:
- Grace Capaldi of Grinning Dog Records
Grace will be talking about her new accessible recording studio in Dorset. Grinning Dog say “We are a family run record label in beautiful Dorchester, Dorset. We believe that music is a core value in everyone’s life and it should be heard”. - Benedict Gaster of The University of the West of England
Benedict will be sharing his cutting edge accessible interface technology with us.
We will have musical interludes from talented Disabled artists.
Plus…
AMIC Input – share your thoughts!
We will hold a (hopefully lively!) discussion about which accessible instruments and technology should be included in our new Accessible Musical Instrument Collection.
We want our fantastic DMLab community (new and old alike) to be part of the development of AMIC, to be our co-creators on the collection and to inform the decisions we make.
This will be the first discussion and we’d love as many of you to join us as possible!
Access
The event will have captions and will take a Relaxed format, meaning people can contribute and participate in the way they feel comfortable. If you have any other access requirements you would like us to be aware of please let us know when booking.
