In my last post I shared some details about Drake Music’s sharing and amplifying ‘experiment’ in which colleagues are aiming to share at least one thing about their work, both internally and externally, for the next couple of months.
We have got off to a great start, especially considering the experiment didn’t really start until the second half of January. Internally, the organisation uses Yammer – an internal social network – to share updates. In the last month there were almost 40 shares which covered a whole range of topics and included links to work, sharing of useful resources and colleagues asking each othere for help and advice.
Externally, colleagues shared their work and what they were up to on Facebook, Twitter, the blog and Youtube. A part of my work on the experiment is to pull together everything that is being shared so we, and anyone interested in our work, can get a sense of the things we do.
In the first instance, I have pulled together tweets and links shared externally in a tool callled Storify. You can see the Storify for January here (the picture above was of of SW Drake Music colleagues meeting in early January).
You can see from the Storify just how much the organisation does, and the type of work it is involved with. Great stuff.
So, a big thanks to everyone who is participating – already we can see that a little bit oif sharing is starting to help build a bigger picture of the work we do. I’ll provide further updates as the experiment develops.
