‘On the Go’ is an exciting collaboration between Mancunian spiritual jazz composer Matthew Halsall; music & technology organsiation Drake Music; and four disabled music producers who have been developing their skills through sampling, reworking and performing elements of Matthew’s back catalogue.
Drake Music is inviting disabled DJs/producers/musicians aged 18+ from across the North West to apply to be part of a free week-long accessible DJ/production course led by MOBO Award nominated jazz composer and DJ, Matthew Halsall.

The Prospectors are a 12-strong band of disabled musicians who’ve been meeting once a week in Heaton Moor near Stockport for over 6 years.
My week with Drake Music brought about a number of ‘firsts’ for me: working with primary-aged children; working alongside disabled people; planning and leading design-based workshops.
