Drake Music teamed up with No Label Arts, the Preston Hackspace and the University of Central Lancashire to run accessible instrument making sessions in Preston.
The project saw Disabled and non-disabled musicians learning how to make their own musical instruments and share (and play!) their creations with each other at session held at UCLan’s Media Factory.
The range of accessible musical instruments available to Disabled musicians is limited and Drake Music works with makers and musicians to design, dream up and develop new ways to make music.
The project was supported by Co-op Foundation and HM Government through the Building Connections Fund Youth Strand.
