The whole team is behind our Marathon Man Chris Benson as he tackles the London Marathon in order to raise money to support our work.
Chris is a partner at Leigh Day, joining in 2006 to start the firm’s discrimination and employment law practice to complement the human rights work at the firm. Chris has a particular interest in disability discrimination law.
Chris is raising money to support 3 of our projects:
Electric Storm Ensemble – a group which puts adults living in residential settings centre stage, performing at festivals and jamming for fun.
Soundbox – Disabled and non-disabled young people come together for Soundbox, a ground-breaking partnership with Spitalfields Music and The London Symphony Orchestra.
DMLab North West – Disabled musicians co-create wild and wonderful new musical instruments in collaboration with technologists.
Our huge thanks to Chris and to our other runner Sam Duffy, who will be taking on the Vitality London 10k on the 28th May!
Good luck with the training, good luck with the running and THANK YOU for your generosity and hard work!
Support our runners!
If you’d like to spur Chris and Sam on you can donate via our Just Giving page.
