About Absorbed By Sound:

Two young disabled musicians smiling and playing music

Absorbed by Sound is a small inclusive, mixed-ability group session where 6 – 8 disabled participants can come together to create, perform and record music in the setting of a renowned professional music venue – Colston Hall in Bristol.

The workshop space is fully accessible and suitable for all levels of musical ability. We use technology and our wealth of experience to break down disabling barriers to music.

The weekly sessions are led by Drake Music Associate Musicians and the group work towards performances throughout the year and at the Fast Forward Festival in the summer.

Session activity will focus on building confidence as young musicians and developing the group’s’ ability to work together to produce music that can be performed or recorded.
