The Big Malarkey Festival 2026 took place in East Park, Hull on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st of June, 2026.
Over the festival weekend, Drake Music artists Elizabeth J. Birch and Mina Budworth delivered accessible creative music workshops in the Experi-tent. In the workshops, Disabled and Non-Disabled children and young people worked together to explore, create, and record their own mysterious sounds and music.
The images you will see in this video are artworks created by Mina Budworth, which were used in the workshops as inspiration for making mysterious sounds and music. The music on this video is made using the recordings of the sounds and music made in the workshops, and was arranged, mixed, and mastered by Elizabeth J. Birch.
Thanks from Drake Music to all at The Big Malarkey Festival, and of course to all the children and young people who contributed to this wonderful music!
