This track was created by disabled young people from Cedar College as part of a project with The Children’s Trust. You can hear it being played live at a mini-festival themed around the Summer of Love.
We wrote it using giant foam dice to create a chord sequence and the electric guitar riff. Staff from the college worked with the participants outside of the sessions to create the lyrics, which were played using Big Mack switches.
Participants are playing a mix of iPads using ThumbJam and Bebot – Robot synth and a Skoog 2, on the recording. We also used a tone ruler, a mini USB keyboard and drum loops in the sessions.
