In 2015 Drake Music ran a project in the North West called ‘On the Go’. It was a pioneering DJ course for disabled music producers. In February, four producers were given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with MOBO nominated jazz bandleader and trumpeter, Matthew Halsall.
Halsall’s current album When the World Was One was the winner of the iTunes “Jazz Album of the Year” 2014 and his work has been praised by the likes of Giles Peterson and Mr Scruff.
The four producers spent a week learning new technologies, sampling and production techniques and experimenting with remixing Halsall’s music. This track is a drum & bass remix by producer Gareth Hughes.
