Soundbox is an all-ability inclusive music collective that brings together disabled and non-disabled musicians aged 11+ from East London and beyond.
This video explores the successful partnership between music organisations which has brought this project to life. See young people from East London making music in the rehearsal room and performing live.
Soundbox is a partnership project delivered by Drake Music, the London Symphony Orchestra, Spitalfields Music and THAMES (Tower Hamlets Arts and Music Education Service).
It has grown and developed for over 5 years, with young people making music with accessible instruments, traditional instruments and music technology. Soundbox is a collaborative process both in the music room and in the partnership, with each partner bringing a different expertise to the project.
