Birtenshaw School is a day and residential, non-maintained special school in Bolton. The school came to us to look at strengthening its music provision; boosting imaginative use of tech, creative ability and confidence.
RAMP it Up! works with schools to develop their capacity to deliver active, creative participation in music. We audit current equipment/facilities and recommend new music tech to purchase. Then, two Drake Music Associate Musicians deliver ten group music making workshops over the course of the project.
Over the course of the project, school teaching staff are supported to take an increasingly central role in the delivery of the workshops, so that they can be confident to deliver the sessions and use the tech when the project finishes.
