DM Education has launched!

DM Education is a new initiative from Drake Music to increase disabled access to formal music eduation.

Take part in our consultation to identify disabling barriers to formal music education, for a chance to win a limited edition black Skoog!

We have also now launched our accessible Introduction to Music course, accredited by OCNSWR (Open College Network South West Region). The resources are now available free from Drake Music to any Open College Network Centre. For details on becoming an OCN centre in England, Wales or Northern Ireland please see www.nocn.org.uk. From January 2012 Drake Music will itself be an OCN centre, givign the option instead to register through Drake Music. See the DM Education web pages here for more details about the course.

Sing Up Songbank

Drake Music & Sing Up have created singing resources for SEN/Disabled children and are offering training in accessible singing. Our accessible singing resources can be downloaded from the Sing Up Song Bank website. The resources are suitable for primary-age pupils and contain ideas for involving SEN/Disabled children in singing, including children with physical impairments, communincation difficulties & other special needs.
