After completing a Master’s Degree in Popular Music Performance, Deborah trained as a Primary Music Specialist facilitating inclusive whole class and small group music sessions across schools in South East London. During her time as Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Lead at Southwark Music, Deborah devised and implemented Southwark Music’s EDI strategy, and set-up and led the EDI Working Group.  As Communications Manager at Southwark Music, Deborah led the organisation’s brand and communications ensuring fair representation and inclusive language across all platforms.

Deborah’s commitment to Inclusion led her to join Drake Music in 2022, bringing experience as music practitioner, Music Education Hub senior leader, and musical artist.  In her own artistic life, Deborah writes and performs music with Berne, an Earth-pop duo driven by climate and social justice.
