What is on offer?
The Emergents programme is part of the Drake Music Collective – our professional development programme for Disabled musicians.
This year, we will select 5 Emergent artists.
The main programme runs from November 2025 to March 2026, with a showcase event in autumn 2026.
There will be two creative development sessions per month. Sessions will be held online on a Tuesday evening, from 6pm to 8pm.
As part of the programme offering, each artist will receive:
- A £1000 creative bursary to support your future goals and creative ideas.
- An opportunity to showcase your work to an audience of industry professionals at a hybrid in-person/online event in autumn 2026 (date to be confirmed).
- A £500 development bursary, to support your participation in our online creative development programme. This will be paid in instalments of £100 per month. You must attend the creative development programme sessions to receive it.

This opportunity is open to musicians who are:
- Emergent (in the early stages of their career).
- Disabled.
- Live in England.
- Aged 18+.
- Available to attend the online development sessions on Tuesdays from 6pm to 8pm (twice a month).
We particularly welcome applications from:
- Disabled people.
- People from the global majority.
- Women and people with marginalised genders.
- LGBTQIA+ people.
We are committing to awarding at least 3 bursaries to members of the global majority.

Send us your completed expression of interest form by Wednesday 20th August – either by email or by completing the online form.
We will email you the application questions on Wednesday 27th August.
Submit your application and diversity monitoring form by Tuesday 23rd September.

Information session
We are holding an information session on Zoom at 2:30pm on Wednesday 27th August.
You can join the session live or watch the recording/ read the transcript afterwards at a time that suits you.
