Louis was the recipient of one of our Emergent commissions for early-career Disabled artists.
Funded by Help Musicians UK, the Emergent programme is designed to support Disabled musicians to build a portfolio career via industry opportunities and commissions.
The theme of Louis’ brief was “Music and the environment” which inspired Louis to think about where he lived and his favourite charity shop.
He then created Magpie, a jaunty indiepop nugget which celebrates the glory of a second-hand shopping spree.
