Sarah is a researcher with a PhD in music education from the University of Leeds. Her work to date has explored how various stakeholders in special education conceptualise ‘best practice’ in music education for disabled children and young people. She has presented her research at international conferences around the world including ISME, RIME, SEMPRE, ICMPC and ESCOM. She is passionate about removing disabling barriers to research and practice in the arts and was the lead organiser of the 2018 Cripping the Muse conference (an archive of which can be found here: www.crippingthemuse.com).
