Soundbeam Training

Soundbeam Training – Introductory and Advanced courses

Course Overview

Soundbeam is owned by many special schools, arts organisations and other settings, but a lack of training for staff can be a barrier to using it regularly in music sessions.

Soundbeam can be a great tool for opening up access to music-making for disabled participants, so we offer training in how to make the most of this piece of kit for both beginners and more advanced users.

Introductory Course

Are you a bit of a ‘technophobe’ who is inspired by the potential of Soundbeam, but intimidated by music technology?

We can take you through the basics step-by-step.

We use simple, easy-to-follow practical activities to introduce you to the different ways of using the instrument and absolutely no jargon!

Our experienced trainers will guide you through the session ensuring that you understand and will be able to implement what you are learning.

Who is it for?

This full day course is aimed at people who have little or no experience of using Soundbeam. The introductory level course will give you a good grounding in the practical use of the system.

You will gain an understanding of how to use the instrument in a workshop or lesson, along with confidence in making the most of this useful piece of kit.

Advanced Course

Already confident with Soundbeam or with music technology in general?

We can train you in the more advanced capabilities of Soundbeam in combination with almost any music software or hardware on PC or Mac.

Advanced software programmes such as Ableton Live, Reason, Logic and Cubase can be used to broaden the musical potential of Soundbeam for your musicians, and our skilled trainers can show you how to achieve more with your kit.

Who is it for?

This full day course is aimed at practitioners who are confident with technology and would like to learn more about how they can make the most of Soundbeam in their lessons and workshops.

In this practical course attendees will gain an in-depth understanding of the full potential of Soundbeam as an accessible music technology.
