We are delighted that The Short Guide to Accessible Music Education has been recognised as a finalist in the 2018 Music Teacher Awards for Excellence.
We worked in partnership with Drake Music Scotland, supported by the Music Education Council, to put together a guide to all things inclusive in music education.
First launched at Music Ed Expo in February 2017, the Short Guide has already seen it’s second updated release, with a new version scheduled to come out late November 2017.
The Short Guide to Accessible Music Education is the only guide of its kind in the UK. Compiled by Emma Lines (Drake Music Scotland) and Jonathan Westrup (Drake Music).
Through partnership with the Music Education Council ASN/SEND Working Group, the aim of the document is to provide a one-stop-shop signposting to organisations, initiatives, research documents and more around the subject of accessible music education.
It is a simple downloadable PDF which covers information about resources, tech, inclusive organisations and more.
