Drake Music is a winner of the Aviva Community Fund competition

Updates

The DMLab North West has had the most incredible boost today, as they are one of the lucky winners of the Aviva Community Fund. £10,000 has been awarded so that Disabled musicians across the North West can create musical instruments that suit their needs.

This is a wonderful recognition of the DMLab North West team, and a large part of this success was due to the people who voted and who encouraged their friends and family to do the same. The North West team made some excellent videos to encourage people to vote, including this from Hannah and this from Steve. Well done to all of everyone and to all of our supporters who helped them to win.

There were over 6,000 entries to this Aviva Community Fund competition round and Drake Music gained enough votes (nearly 3,000 in total) to be selected for the final fifteen in the second round of the competition. From these fifteen, Drake Music is one of the five winners of the Inclusivity projects and the final decisions were made by an Aviva panel of judges.
