DMLab North launches in October

Drake Music is expanding its Research & Development programme to the North of the UK this October, bringing together technologists, musicians, coders and hackers to work on creating cutting edge accessible instruments.

Drake Music hold a regular London hackmeet in collaboration with Furtherfield and Music Hackspace – DMLab – which has been successful in creating new technology and instruments like the ‘Kellycaster’.

Now this hackmeet format is being launched in Manchester on 26th October in collaboration with Madlab.

We want to invite al technologists, musicians, makers, coders and hackers to come along and be part of the development of new accessible musical instruments. See below for details, or read this blog from the project co-ordinator Caro C.

Drake Music’s R&D work is supported by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
