Oscar Pistorius makes Olympic history and becomes a disabled icon. Have you been watching this incredible guy become the first impaired person to compete against his completely ambulant piers. His athletic ability is next to none, which he has proved getting to Olympic standards and demonstrated that all his doubters where wrong. I do wonder though whether he should be allowed to compete in the Olympics and Paralympics? No other athlete is able to do this, so why should he? He has spent years attempting and fighting do his right to race against able bodied people and to prove disabled people are just as capable. Now he is turning it to his own advantage and racing twice. O well, he is an amazing athlete and I have a huge amount of respect for him and love watching him preform. Maybe he will win a medal at the next Olympics! Hopefully many more future athletes will be inspired.
