LSO Discovery organise their inclusive LSO Make Music Day during half-term to provide an opportunity for young people (aged 10-25) with learning impairments, and their families, to:
- Play different instruments
- Make new music with others, including professional musicians from the orchestra and partner organisations
- Enjoy a choice of art and music throughout the day
We work in partnership with the London Symphony Orchestra and will be part of this fun family-friendly event. Members of the Drake Music team will be there making music with everyone who comes along, working together to explore the idea of a “Digital Orchestra”.
What does that mean? Well it might mean we try and make the sounds of a traditional orchestra with accessible music technology, or maybe we will build something completely unexpected! You decide!
This is a fantastic opportunity for families to have a fun day out and make some music.
This event is free to attend and is accessible. The LSO will have a Mobiloo on site, the world’s first attended mobile toilet service with a hoist and changing bench. If you would like to make use of this, please bring along your sling and then you can stay all day!
Location: 161 Old St, London EC1V 9NG
Date: Wednesday 19 February, 11am – 3.30pm
