The Think22 team are out and about over October. Alongside delivering inclusive music education projects with our music hub partners, we are also involved with various conferences and events across the sector.
As speakers we will be sharing our experience and knowledge around accessible and inclusive practice and as attendees we will be listening, learning and taking new ideas back into our work at Drake Music.
At the Westminster Education Forum we will be contributing to discussions around the new ‘model’ curriculum, the future for music hubs and looking ahead to the next National Plan for Music Education
On 17th October 2019 we are delighted to have been invited to deliver the keynote speech at the Norfolk Music Hub Expo and will also be delivering 3 workshops at the event too. It has a packed programme and looks set to be a very interesting day.
Later in October sees the team presenting at the Fast Forward Festival, taking place at mac in Birmingham. Presented by Midlands Arts Centre and Bristol Music Trust, Fast Forward is a national disability and arts festival celebrating inclusion and challenging expectations around disability and the music industry.
This year’s programme features performances by the FLOW Collective, BSO Resound and the lovely Sarah Fisher will be performing her stand-up show Twitch.
We will be delivering a Drake Music case study alongside NOYO, BSO and the National Centre for Inclusive Excellence on Inclusion. We are also particularly looking forward to the keynote speech by Jess Thom, who is a writer, artist and co-founder of Touretteshero, as well as being Change Maker at Battersea Arts Centre.
Hope to see you there!
