Can you tell us updates about your project / workshops? 

I’ve been on holiday! I’ve also been putting my creative project plan together and creating a big resource for emeging disabled musicians. I’ve been honing down the provocations for the Open House sessions and thinking about how to structure them. I had the chance to learn about Drake’s education work, which was really interesting! 

What do you have planned for next month? 

I’ll be shortlisting the Emergent Bursary awards with two other artists and starting to get my creative project off the ground.  

What have you learned so far? 

Making the resource guide was a really useful exercise – there were lots of resources I knew about already, but in researching for the guide I found lots more.  

What has been a highlight over the past month? 

Am I allowed to say “going on holiday”?!

Can you tell us updates about your project / workshops? 

I have confirmed interviews with 4 people in London and Hull for my DMC access champion project, and confirmed equipment hire and dates. I’ve also identified potential exciting creative collaborators for my creative project. 

What do you have planned for next month? 

Next month I will be travelling to London and filming some interviews with creatives about their experiences of performing live. I’ll also be starting to put my plans for my creative project in motion. 

What have you learned so far? 

I’ve learnt that people are quite keen to share their experiences and I feel a lot more confident and comfortable approaching people and just discussing our lives. 

What has been a highlight over the past month? 

My highlight this last month has been exploring creative ideas with other creative people who practice in different artforms and mediums than I do.
