Part of the Digital:Connect programme of support for Disabled musicians during COVID, Get Funded is a new free funding feedback service for musicians of all ages and genres.

Drake Music want to support more of our community of musicians to gain the confidence, skills and experience needed to get their work funded, so we are offering 15 musicians the chance to get friendly and accessible feedback on funding applications from a professional fundraiser.

It’s a series of accessible videos about arts funding and an opportunity for Disabled musicians to get feedback on funding applications to Arts Council England, PRS Foundation, Help Musicians UK or BBC – Culture in Quarantine.

Nick will take time to go through your draft application (which could be written or video) to assess whether:

  • the questions have been answered fully
  • the project plan is communicated clearly
  • the funder’s criteria have been met

He will ask the right questions to draw out more information from you and will help you to improve and re-write your application. Please be aware that we can’t write your application entirely – this is a feedback and advice service only.

An accessible process

We will provide feedback in a way that is accessible to you. This could include:

  • written feedback via email
  • a live phone call or video call
  • a pre-recorded video message or voice note
  • a combination of all of these things

You are welcome to ask for feedback in a way which suits you.

How to apply

This is a pilot project, with a limited capacity, and in the first instance we are able to support 15 musicians with applications. These will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and according to suitability (e.g. if you have an application in progress which Nick can respond to)
