Brand new commission opportunities for Deaf and Disabled musicians

We are delighted to announce 3 new commission opportunities, in partnership with Carousel, DaDaFest and Drake Music as part of Emergent: A music legacy.

The Emergent programme creates new musical opportunities for early-career Deaf and Disabled musicians.

If you want to develop your music career – whether you are a sound artist,  DJ or technologist – then this is an ideal opportunity to get paid for experimenting with sound.

In addition to a £750 commission fee, each chosen artist will also receive support and mentoring from established musical professionals.

Previous Emergent commissions

In year 1 each successful artist has took a radically different approach to their Emergent commissions – ranging from politically-charged classical compositions to catchy pop songs about charity shops.

You can read more about the first year of Emergent commissions here.
